As senior vice president of strategy and corporate development for FLO TV, Alice Kim is responsible for overseeing the company’s strategic development initiatives drawing on her extensive background in digital media, mobile content, marketing, distribution and business development.
Kim most recently served as senior vice president of digital distribution at MTV Networks (MTVN) where she was responsible for developing strategy and building revenue across the 17 on-air and digital brands of the MTVN portfolio, including MTV, VH1, Nickelodeon and Comedy Central, in addition to managing more than 30 digital partnerships. Prior to MTV, Kim was vice president of business development at Enpocket Inc., and played an instrumental role in establishing a leading market position for the company. She also served as vice president of corporate development at PreCache Inc., where she sourced, negotiated, executed and managed potential partnerships and strategic alliances domestically and internationally.
In 2008, Fierce Wireless named Kim one of the “Top Women in Wireless” for her role in elevating MTVN to one of the dominant players in the mobile content space. In addition, in 2009, Mobile Entertainment named her one of the “Top 50 Women in Mobile Content”.
Kim began her career in investment banking with Dean Witter Reynolds and then venture capital with CIBC Capital Partners and Dolphin Equity before moving into the start-up world.
Kim holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and international business from NYU’s Stern School of Business and a master’s of business administration in finance and management information, communication and media from Columbia Business School.
